The University is committed to ensuring a culture free from physical misconduct, sexual misconduct and abusive behaviour; this includes discriminatory behaviour or behaviour that would be classed as 'hate crime'. To enable staff and students to respond appropriately to disclosures or situations where someone might be at risk, a number of briefings and trainings are available, including student-led consent workshops for undergraduate students at the beginning of their studies, staff disclosure training, and bespoke sessions. Campaign Against Antisemitism: International Definition of Antisemitism - on 4 November 2020, the University formally adopted the definition of antisemitism in full, with clarifications recommended by the Home Affairs Select Committee in 2016 to protect freedom of speech. These can be found here.
